- Gentle chewers and small dogs: one chew can last a week or more of on-and-off sessions. Some small dogs treat a churpi as a long-term relationship.
- Average chewers: several solid sessions spread across a few days.
- Power chewers: a few hours of concentrated work, usually spread over a day or two once you're rationing sessions.
For context, that same power chewer finishes a standard treat in seconds and a bully stick within the hour. Churpi is about as long-lasting as fully digestible chews get.
What Actually Determines Chew Time
Hardness. Churpi is cured slowly until it's dense all the way through. Dogs can't bite pieces off; they have to soften it layer by layer with their mouths, and that's what buys the hours.
